Dr. Sammy is passionate about chiropractic care and its powerful ability to support your body’s natural healing process. She enjoys caring for the entire family, and has a special interest in women's health, pregnancy, postpartum, and pediatric care. This passion led her to become a chiropractor trained in Webster Technique (ICPA). A technique that balances the pelvis and allows for optimal positioning of the baby in pregnancy. Dr. Sammy also furthered her education by becoming a trained birth doula (DONA). She has beautifully birthed two children at home and continues to be amazed at the journey and blessing that is motherhood. It is her joy to serve patients at her office, Innately Designed in Maplewood, MN.
Innately -- meaning inborn, natural. Designed -- planned for a specific purpose
Our nervous system controls and coordinates the rest of our body. When there is interference on our nervous system due to misalignments in the spine, we do not operate at our full potential. Wellness and maintenance adjustments can help us to stay in a state of balance and ease, instead of being burdened by dis-ease.
Everyone can benefit from chiropractic care -- whether you are working at a desk, chasing around little ones, training for an event, aging in place, or anywhere in between. Send Dr. Sammy a message (drsammyjoyer@gmail.com) to discuss what frequency of care is best for you.
Children specifically benefit from chiropractic care as their first year of life is marked by rapid development. Dr. Sammy can address sleep concerns, digestive issues, constipation, ear pain and infections, colic, behavioral issues, developmental delays, and many other concerns.
Dr. Sammy's chiropractic adjustments during pregnancy utilize the Webster Technique to balance the pelvis and allow for optimal positioning of baby. When mom's body is aligned and balanced, the uterus (babies' home!) is also balanced, in turn leading to a well-positioned baby. This can decrease labor times, increase comfort during pregnancy, and optimize a baby's developing nervous system.
Chiropractic adjustments postpartum are modified to your comfort. Newborn adjustments are gentle and specific to your baby's needs based on their birth. To ensure that you experience the best transition for you and your newborn baby, I recommend receiving care together. I am happy to assist with breastfeeding, baby wearing, and answer any questions you may have during your visit as well.
